NASCAR’s offseason is drawing to a close. The Rolex 24 is done. That can only mean one thing. The Daytona 500 is now just days away. Soon enough haulers, crews and fans will once again fill Daytona International Speedway, all looking to capture the Harley J. Earl Trophy.
As the race nears, odds are starting to leak out of Vegas. Who do the oddsmakers like? It should come as no surprise. Brad Keselowski is one of the favorites to win, despite never winning NASCAR most prestigious race. Tied with Brad is his teammate and 2018 NASCAR Champion Joey Logano, along with 2007 Daytona 500 Champion Kevin Harvick. You can get each of these three drivers at 9-1 odds.
The next best odds give us our first surprise — Aric Almirola is tied for fourth on the list with Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin. Almirola won the last restrictor plate race in October at Talladega. This group of drivers give you 12-1 odds.
2018 Daytona 500 champ Austin Dillon is way down the list at just 28-1.
Paul Menard provides us with one of the best values on the board at 40-1.
Ryan Newman, who hops over to the Ford camp this year, checks in at 50-1.
The three with the longest odds on the board are actually not bad restrictor plate racers. Ty Dillon, Chris Buescher and David Ragan have each been slapped with 100-1 odds, if you’re feeling lucky.
