Jamie McMurray will run The Clash in addition to the Daytona 500

Jamie McMurray will see his full time racing career come to a close in a few weeks at Daytona. The former Daytona 500 Champion was replaced by Kurt Busch at Chip Ganassi Racing, but will have the opportunity to make one final start in a No. 40 entry with Spire Motorsports.

The team announced today that McMurray would also enter The Clash, NASCAR’s annual exhibition race to kick off the season a week before the 500. AdventHealth will sponsor the ride.

“I am looking forward to getting back in the car at Daytona and to have AdventHealth onboard with us for this race,” McMurray said. “We have had a great relationship with everyone at AdventHealth over the last several years. It means a lot to have them partner with us on this special event. With everything that they have going on at Daytona International Speedway throughout Speedweeks, both as presenting sponsor and with their Fan Injector, I am very happy to be a part of it all.”
