NASCAR’s first attempt to get the FireKeepers Casino 400 in yesterday at Michigan International Speedway was foiled by Mother Nature. Rain delayed the start of the race, but things looked good for the race to at least get started. However, the rain showed up once more during the pace laps, forcing drivers back down pit road. After a two hour delay, NASCAR nearly had the track dry. One more time, the rains came.
NASCAR called the race shortly after, rescheduling the event for Monday afternoon. Due to the Women’s World Cup on FS1, the race was pushed back to 5 p.m. ET.
