Lex Fridman, a renowned Artificial Intelligence expert and research scientist at the esteemed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is offering to assume the prestigious role of Chief Executive Officer at Twitter.
On Monday, a poll conducted by Elon Musk on whether he should step down from his Twitter CEO position concluded with the majority of participants voting in favor. The results indicate that users are increasingly looking for Elan to part ways with this social media platform. Yet, it’s uncertain if Mr. Musk would respect the results of this poll and whether a new head will take charge of the social media network. In later tweets, the billionaire further expressed that “No one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive. There is no successor,” as well as “Twitter has been on a steady decline towards bankruptcy since May.”
Despite the magnitude of the task, many are ready to take on Twitter as its CEO and are even willing to do it for free! Having a chance at running one of today’s biggest social media platforms is an offer that some can’t refuse.
Lex Fridman, a renowned AI academic and research scientist from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), recently expressed his eagerness to accept the position of CEO at Twitter. He tweeted, “It would be an honor for me to take on this role – no salary necessary! All I want is to help create more love in our world through great engineering. If you think that’s something useful and feasible, here I am!”
Elon Musk responded to Lex Fridman’s offer in under a few minutes. His cheeky response was that Fridman would have to invest his entire savings into Twitter—which had been on the road to bankruptcy since May—in order for him to accept the job. To which Fridman calmly replied: “Yes. We’ll turn it around.”
